IRINA STHAPIT
Engineer and Educator,
Designing Learning Experiences
Intrigued by space, I love spotting shooting stars in the night sky. While I cannot go to space physically at the moment, I explore the universe by making DIY antennas.

My love for making and tinkering started when I was a little girl. My father and I used to fix his bike together. Though I didn't know anything about fixing bikes, I was his little assistant with a torch. I would pass him tools and he would teach me how to use them. Because of this experience as a kid, I was never afraid to use tools.

After completing my Engineering, I joined Karkhana, an educational company and a makerspace in Nepal. Here, I got to explore my interest of making and tinkering as well as design classes and teach what I love.
As an educator, I got to see the 'Aaha!' moments of my students and wanted to explore more about teaching and learning. This brought me to Stanford University where I pursued my Master’s in Learning, Design and Technology. Today, I am growing and making impactful contributions through a wide range of professional experiences in diverse workspaces including Stanford, Education.com, Create & Learn.

I am dedicated to improving teaching and learning experiences through technology and innovation.
Cheers to learning and discovering!
